രാജ്യസഭാംഗങ്ങളുടെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ സിപിഎമ്മിൻ്റെ രാജ്യസഭാ സീറ്റ് കേരള കോൺഗ്രസ് എമ്മിന് വിട്ടുനൽകി. മുന്നണിക്ക് ഉറപ്പുള്ളത് രണ്ട് സീറ്റാണ്, അതിൽ ഒന്നിലാണ് കേരള കോൺഗ്രസ് എം മത്സരിക്കുക. ഒരു സീറ്റിൽ സിപിഐ സ്ഥാനാര്‍ത്ഥി മത്സരിക്കും. ജോസ് കെ മാണിയാണ് കേരള കോൺഗ്രസ് എമ്മിൽ നിന്ന് രാജ്യസഭയിലേക്ക് മത്സരിക്കുക. രാജ്യസഭാ സീറ്റിൽ അവകാശ വാദം ഉന്നയിച്ച ആര്‍ജെ‍ഡി കടുത്ത വിമ‍ര്‍ശനo ഉന്നയിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ്.
